Petrus 2007

Petrus is a renowned Pomerol red produced from Merlot grown on the estate's distinctive clay-rich plateau. The vineyard's exceptional blue clay soils contribute concentration, structure and longevity, while meticulous vineyard and cellar practices create a powerful yet refined expression with remarkable depth, texture and ageing potential.

Food Pairing: Pairs best with roasted beef tenderloin, braised short ribs, truffle dishes, or aged Comte.

94 Points - James Suckling

This Petrus is solid for the vintage with bright and pretty fruit. It is full-bodied, with chewy tannins and berry, Indian spice and cinnamon character. The finish is long and intense, showing considerably more depth and quality than might be expected from the vintage.

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2007 Petrus has a sumptuous bouquet with ample mulberry, truffle and pain d'epices aromas that are beautifully defined. It gains increasing volume in the glass. The medium-bodied palate has grainy tannins, leather-tinged red fruit, clove and black pepper, followed by a sturdy finish and excellent ageing potential.

92 Points - Wine Spectator

Pure, subtle fruit shows blackberry, sliced mushroom and blueberry character, presenting an elegant and restrained expression of Petrus with freshness and definition.
