Peter Wetzer Weiss

Crafted by low-intervention artisan winemaker Peter Wetzer in the Sopron region of northwestern Hungary, 'Weiss' is a vibrant natural white field blend that captures the freshness and character of the region's borderland terroir. Sourced from organically farmed vineyards rich in limestone, slate, and mica soils near Lake Neusiedl, this wine brings together local white grape varieties—primarily Furmint, Olaszrizling (Welschriesling), and Pinot Blanc. Fermented spontaneously with wild indigenous yeasts in neutral wooden casks and aged on fine lees, it is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions.
