Peter Wetzer Somlo Furmint

Crafted by low-intervention artisan winemaker Peter Wetzer, this single-terroir Furmint comes from the extinct volcanic dome of Somló in western Hungary. Renowned for producing some of the world's most distinctively mineral white wines, Somló’s basalt-rich soils impart an unmistakable volcanic signature. Sourced from organically farmed old vines, the fruit undergoes spontaneous wild-yeast fermentation and aging on fine lees in neutral oak casks before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur.

Food Pairing: Herb-crusted roasted pork, pan-seared sea bass, grilled octopus, creamy mushroom dishes, and aged goat cheeses.
