Crafted by low-intervention artisan winemaker Peter Wetzer in Sopron, Hungary, this estate Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch) offers a pure, energetic expression of the region's unique borderland terroir. Sourced from organically farmed old vines rooted in slate, limestone, and mica soils near Lake Neusiedl, the grapes are harvested by hand to ensure optimal health and balance. Fermented spontaneously with wild indigenous yeasts in open wooden vats and aged in neutral Hungarian oak casks, it is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions.
