The Rosso “MALPELO” embodies the rebellious spirit of one of the most iconic characters of Sicilian literature such as Rosso Malpelo, the one with “red hair”, with a mischievous and cheeky personality.
This wine represents the harmonious union of three native Sicilian grape varieties: Nerello Mascalese, Frappato, and Perricone, offering a rich and complex tasting experience that expresses the unique characteristics of each variety and the mastery of winemaking that skillfully brought them together.
MALPELO has a beautiful ruby color with violet reflections that denote its youthfulness and vitality. On the nose, delicate notes of fresh red fruits, such as strawberries and cherries, are accompanied by subtle hints of spice. Floral hints of violets and roses also emerge, adding a touch of elegance to the overall aroma of the wine. On the palate, this blend offers a pleasant harmony of flavors. The fruity notes of strawberries, cherries, and raspberries blend with subtle spicy undertones and a
slightly herbaceous character. It has a balanced structure with soft tannins and good acidity, providing freshness and liveliness.
