Penderyn Icon of Wales Copperopolis Welsh Whisky

Penderyn Copperopolis is the 12th release in the Icons of Wales series, celebrating Swansea’s historic copper-smelting industry. This Welsh single malt is bottled at 46% ABV and matured with a Sweet Red Wine cask finish, creating a rich combination of floral fruit, honey, caramel, dried fruit and oak.

Food Pairing: Roast pork, glazed ham, mature cheese, dark chocolate, fruitcake and dried fruits.

Tasting Notes: Orange blossom, peaches, cherries, orange peel, vanilla, honey, caramel, raisins, figs, oak spice and cocoa.

Nose: Floral and fruity with orange blossom, peaches, cherries and orange peel, followed by vanilla, honey and lightly spiced dried fruit.

Palate: Luscious and rich with caramel and honey sweetness, raisins, figs and gentle oak spices.

Finish: Dry oak with lingering citrus sweetness and a dusting of cocoa.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat, with a few drops of water or over a large ice cube.
