About the Pecchenino Barolo San Giuseppe 2017
A classic Barolo with ripe plum, raspberry, red and black cherry, blackberry, licorice, mint, and tobacco. Rich and powerful yet refined, it offers silky integrated tannins, vibrant acidity, savory depth, and a long, elegant finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with pasta with meat sauce, braised beef, roasted red meats, game, truffle dishes, or aged cheeses.
94 Points - James Suckling
A rather soft and rich young Barolo with strawberry and floral character and hints of watermelon. It’s full-bodied and layered. Rich finish. So attractive now, but will age nicely. Try after 2023.
92 Points - Wine Spectator
Balsamic aromas and flavors of menthol, mint, hay and tobacco wrap around the cherry core in this firm, linear red, which is ripe and focused, lingering with a mouthwatering finish. Best from 2025 through 2043. 800 cases made, 300 cases imported.
