About the Chateau Latour Le Pauillac de Latour 2016
Le Pauillac de Latour is the third wine of Château Latour, showcasing the elegance of Pauillac with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, cedar, graphite, tobacco, violet, and subtle baking spice. Refined and approachable, it delivers polished tannins, vibrant freshness, balanced structure, and a long, graceful finish with classic Left Bank character.
Food Pairing: Pair with grilled ribeye, roast lamb, beef Wellington, duck breast, mushroom risotto, aged Comté, braised short ribs, or roasted root vegetables.
94 Points - James Suckling
Lots of mineral, crushed stone, iodine and graphite with blackcurrants and blackberries that follow through to a medium body with ultra-fine tannins that are ever so polished and give length and energy to the wine. Drinkable now, but even better in 2023.
