About the Patatsfontein Montagu 2024
Patatsfontein Montagu 2024 is an exceptional, terroir-driven white wine produced as a joint venture between Reenen Borman of Boschkloof and Henk Kotze. Sourced from a cool-climate, high-altitude single vineyard planted in 1984 on rugged slate and limestone soils in Montagu, this wine captures incredible purity and tension. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral French oak puncheons, it displays brilliant light straw hues with expressive aromas of white peach, green apple, crushed flint, and delicate lemon blossom. On the palate, it is focused, dry, and electric, featuring crisp tree fruit flavors integrated with fine texture, mouthwatering acidity, and a distinctly long, chalky mineral finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with pan-seared scallops, grilled sea bass, goat cheese crostini, roasted chicken, or delicate vegetable quiches.
