About the Pastourelle de Clerc Milon Pauillac
Crafted in the famed Pauillac appellation on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Pastourelle de Clerc Milon is the second wine of the renowned Fifth Growth Grand Cru Classé estate, Château Clerc Milon (owned by Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A.). Named after a traditional knightly dance (pastourelle) that recalls the two dancers featured on the estate's iconic label, this wine is sourced from deep gravel-over-clay-limestone soils situated between First Growths Mouton Rothschild and Lafite Rothschild. Composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Carmenère, the grapes are vinified with the same exacting standards, gravity-led gravity vat house, and meticulous oak aging program as the Grand Vin, offering a supple, round, and elegant early-drinking expression of legendary Pauillac terroir.
Food Pairing: Grilled ribeye steak, roasted rack of lamb with herbs, duck breast with cherry reduction, braised veal chops, wild mushroom risotto, and hard aged cheeses like Comté or Gouda.
