About the Pasetti Gesmino Moscatello di Castiglione Passito 500ml
Crafted in the pristine Gran Sasso National Park in Abruzzo, Italy, Pasetti Gesmino Moscatello di Castiglione Passito is a rare and exquisite dessert wine produced by the family-owned Pasetti winery. Sourced entirely from the rare Moscatello di Castiglione varietal—an ancient, indigenous clone of Muscat unique to the mountain foothills of Castiglione Messer Raimondo—this wine is made using traditional appassimento techniques. The hand-selected grapes are left to dry naturally on ventilated straw racks (graticci) for several months, concentrating sugars, aromas, and natural acidity before undergoing a slow fermentation and gentle aging in stainless steel and oak barrels.
Food Pairing: Almond biscotti (cantucci), fruit tarts, aged blue cheeses like Gorgonzola Dolce, foie gras, panettone, and dark chocolate desserts with candied peel. Serve chilled.
