Pascual Toso Magdalena is an ultra-premium Argentine red blend from Barrancas, Mendoza, crafted from selected Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This elegant wine displays aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, cherry, fig, vanilla, and spice, with a rich palate featuring concentrated fruit, refined tannins, French oak complexity, and a long finish.

Food Pairing: Prime rib, grilled steak, roasted lamb, aged cheeses, charcuterie, chocolate desserts, and rich meat dishes.

This wine's elegance and balance were a pleasant surprise, given the warm vintage. The nose starts with chocolate-wrapped berries and dates. Smooth on the palate, this savory blend is made with 60% Malbec, 30% Cabernet and 10% Syrah. It has plenty of red- and black-fruit flavors followed by dates, cumin, thyme and integrated notes of baking spices. Good acidity elevates the experience.

Blackberries and blueberries with lots of coffee and lightly toasted oak. Opulent aromas to say the least. Full-bodied with round tannins and a juicy finish. 60% malbec, 30% cabernet sauvignon and 10% syrah. Give this three or four years to come around. Try after 2024.
