About the Paolo Scavino Barolo Bric dël Fiasc 2019
A prestigious Barolo with red cherry, raspberry, rose, licorice, iron, white pepper, crushed stone, and subtle tobacco. Powerful yet refined, it combines vibrant acidity with dense, polished tannins, layered fruit, and remarkable mineral complexity, finishing exceptionally long and persistent.
Food Pairing: Pair with truffle pasta, braised beef, roasted lamb, wild game, mushroom risotto, osso buco, or aged Piedmontese cheeses.
97 Points - James Suckling
Aromas of strawberry, orange, white rose, and sandalwood follow through to a full body with very fine tannins that have a velvety texture that is focused and refined. Vivid acidity. Juicy and flavorful. Lovely depth and intensity. Give it five to six years of bottle age. Best after 2028.
95 Points - Wine Spectator
A supple, graceful red announced by rose, cherry, licorice, iron and white pepper aromas and flavors. This is no pushover, however, with a layer of dense, pointed tannins that resonate on the long aftertaste. Shows excellent balance and complexity. Best from 2027 through 2046. 675 cases made, 203 cases imported
