About the Hunter Laing Old Malt Cask Linkwood 22 Year Old #HL21387
Hunter Laing Old Malt Cask Linkwood 22 Year Old is an independently bottled Speyside single malt Scotch whisky showcasing the depth and elegance of extended oak maturation. Rich aromas of dark plums and blackberries introduce a beautifully layered profile, complemented by refreshing mint and gentle sweetness. The palate reveals ripe orchard and dark fruit flavours balanced by subtle oak and warming spice, while the finish remains pleasantly long, with lingering sweet wood and delicate spice. Presented as a single-cask release without chill filtration or added colouring, this mature expression offers a refined balance of fruit, freshness and complexity.
Food Pairing: Dark chocolate truffles, blackberry tart, plum cake, roasted duck, aged Gouda, toasted walnuts or fruitcake.
Tasting Notes: Rich dark fruits, ripe plum, blackberry, refreshing mint, sweet oak and gentle warming spice.
Nose: Dark plums, blackberries and subtle fruity sweetness.
Palate: Fresh mint layered over ripe fruit, with soft oak and delicate spice.
