Part of the Old Forester Whiskey Row Series, the 1870 Original Batch pays homage to founder George Garvin Brown's original batching process from 1870. To honor the historic technique of blending whiskey from three different warehouses, this bourbon is selected from barrels across three distinct warehouses, each representing a different distillation date and batch. The resulting spirit is bottled at 90 proof to deliver a smooth, soft, and historically inspired flavor profile.

Food Pairing: Grilled pork chops, pecan pie, smoked gouda cheese, glazed ham, and dark chocolate caramel desserts.

Tasting Notes : Warm amber color with a soft, rounded, and smooth texture on the palate.
