Olivier Leflaive Montrachet Grand Cru 2022

Crafted in the heart of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, France, Olivier Leflaive Montrachet Grand Cru 2022 stands at the absolute pinnacle of world white wine production. Sourced from Montrachet—universally acclaimed as the greatest Chardonnay vineyard on earth—this legendary Grand Cru site straddles Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet on a perfectly sloped, south-southeast facing amphitheater of thin, highly active limestone over bathonian rock. Sourced from meticulously farmed old vines, the fruit harvested for this bottling captures an unmatched combination of intense power, dramatic complexity, and crystalline purity. The stellar 2022 vintage provided flawless ripening conditions, producing hand-selected Chardonnay that was gently whole-cluster pressed, cold-settled, and fermented in fine French oak barrels. Aged for up to 18 to 20 months in bespoke French oak casks (with a refined proportion of new oak) with gentle lees contact, it represents the ultimate expression of nobility, grace, and age-worthy power.

Food Pairing: Butter-poached spiny lobster, turbot with black truffle beurre blanc, pan-seared sea scallops, roasted Bresse chicken with morel cream sauce, veal sweetbreads, and ultra-premium aged French cheeses like Époisses or 36-month Comté.
