About the Olivier Leflaive Meursault 1Er Cru Poruzots Domaine 2022
Crafted in the world-renowned Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, France, Olivier Leflaive Meursault 1er Cru "Poruzots" Domaine 2022 is a benchmark Premier Cru white wine representing the quintessential Meursault combination of richness, hazelnut complexity, and vibrant mineral structure. Sourced exclusively from estate-owned (Récolte du Domaine) parcels within Les Poruzots—a historic vineyard situated on mid-slope marly limestone soils with ideal eastern exposure—this terroir yields Chardonnay with exceptional density and aromatic lift. The remarkable 2022 vintage brought ideal sunny ripening conditions, yielding hand-harvested fruit that underwent gentle pressing, native yeast fermentation, and 18 months of maturation in fine French oak barrels with gentle lees stirring (bâtonnage).
Food Pairing: Roasted capon with truffle butter, butter-poached lobster, pan-seared halibut with beurre blanc, wild mushroom risotto, veal sweetbreads, and aged French cheeses like Comté or Époisses.
