Bouchard Pere & Fils Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles 2021 is a refined Pinot Noir from one of the appellation's finest Premier Cru vineyards. Layers of black cherry, cassis, earth, spice, and floral notes are framed by silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and remarkable mineral precision, leading to a long, elegant finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with venison, duck breast, roast lamb, beef bourguignon, mushroom dishes, and aged Epoisses cheese.

Bright cassis fruit aromas lead for this classic expression of Nuits-St-Georges, with classic notes of earth, mineral, smoke and leather. The structure is impressively dense and structured, but the lively acidity keeps everything in balance. The grapes come from nearly a hectare of vines in Les Cailles, close to Premier Cru Les St-Georges. The wine is worth seeking out.
