North Star Benriach 10 Year Old

North Star Benriach 10 Year Old is a single-cask Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2015 and independently bottled by North Star Spirits in 2025 at 53.5% ABV. Matured for ten years in an Oloroso Sherry butt, this cask-strength expression combines Benriach's fruity malt character with rich sherry influence. Layers of dried figs, caramel, dark chocolate and toasted nuts complement honeyed fruit, candied orange and warming oak spice. Bottled at natural colour without chill filtration, it offers a full-bodied exploration of sherry-cask maturation.

Food Pairing: Dark chocolate truffles, aged Manchego, roasted almonds, sticky toffee pudding, fruitcake, dried figs or orange-infused desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and fruit-forward, with dried figs, toffee, cocoa, roasted nuts, candied orange and warming spice.

Nose: Dried fruit, caramel, dark chocolate and toasted almonds, with hints of sweet oak.

Palate: Full-bodied and layered, with sultanas, honey, candied orange, creamy malt and gentle spice.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering chocolate, cinnamon, dried fruit and seasoned oak.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn glass, adding a few drops of water to explore its sherry richness and soften the cask-strength intensity.
