Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition Two North British 2009

North British 2009 Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Grain Edition #2 is a 15-year-old Lowland single grain Scotch whisky, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2025 at 57.1% ABV. Matured in a combination of first-fill and second-fill Oloroso Sherry butts and bourbon barrels, this small-batch release balances rich dried fruit and warming spice with the creamy sweetness of mature grain whisky. Layers of vanilla, caramel, toasted nuts and honeyed biscuits lead to a smooth, full-flavoured finish. Bottled without chill filtration or added colouring, it offers a distinctive expression of North British Distillery's character.

Food Pairing: Dark chocolate, aged Gouda, roasted almonds, caramel pudding, pecan pie, dried figs, apple tart or buttery shortbread.

Tasting Notes: Rich and creamy, with caramel, vanilla custard, dried fruit, honey, toasted nuts and warming oak spice.

Nose: Honeyed biscuits, creamy vanilla, caramel and toasted coconut, complemented by raisins, milk chocolate and gentle oak spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth, with buttery toffee, vanilla custard, dried stone fruit, caramelized nuts and warming cinnamon.

Finish: Medium to long, with lingering caramel, baked apple, milk chocolate, nutmeg and gently spiced oak.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn glass or add a few drops of water to soften its higher bottling strength and reveal additional sweetness and spice.
