Nino Negri Sfursat (or Sforzato) is the preeminent expression of Valtellina's unique winemaking tradition, where Nebbiolo grapes (locally called Chiavennasca) are dried on straw mats for several months before pressing. This "Sfursat" process concentrates the sugars and aromas, resulting in a wine of immense power and elegance. The 2018 vintage is characterized by its refined complexity, offering an intense bouquet of dried marasca cherries, cloves, and mountain herbs, underpinned by notes of tobacco and cocoa.
