The Newfoundland Distillery Co. Cloudberry Gin 750ml

The Newfoundland Distillery Co. Cloudberry Gin is a craft spirit produced by The Newfoundland Distillery Company in Clarke's Beach, Newfoundland. Distilled from locally grown barley and rye, this expression is infused with cloudberries (locally known as bakeapples), wild juniper, and local botanicals. The hand-picked cloudberries impart a unique amber tint alongside a rich, tart, and honeyed fruit profile balanced by coastal piney juniper.

Food Pairing: Fresh Newfoundland seafood, smoked salmon, roasted pork loin with fruit glaze, goat cheese crostini, and cloudberry or apple tarts.

Tasting Notes: Warm amber-gold in appearance with a smooth, soft, and coating mouthfeel.

Nose: Vibrant and fruity with distinct notes of tart cloudberry, subtle floral honey, and bright citrus zest, backed by crisp resinous juniper.

Palate: Soft, rich, and juicy featuring a balance of tart red-orange stone fruit sweetness, earthy berry seeds, crisp piney juniper, and subtle pepper spice.

Finish: Medium to long, warm, and clean with lingering notes of tart bakeapple skin, mild honey, and dry juniper.

Serve: Serve over ice topped with premium tonic water garnished with a fresh orange slice or dried fruit, or mix into a Cloudberry Sour or French 75.
