Nelson's Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey

A painstaking, highly celebrated recreation of the original family recipe from 1860. Unlike modern Tennessee whiskeys that rely heavily on rye, Nelson's Green Brier features a historic wheated mash bill. After distillation, it is meticulously filtered through a bed of sugar maple charcoal (the Lincoln County Process) before being aged in new charred oak barrels. Bottled at 91 proof, this combination of wheat and charcoal mellowing results in a staggeringly smooth, sweet, and approachable whiskey without any harsh peppery bite.

NOSE

Inviting and incredibly sweet aromas of warm caramel, vanilla bean, cinnamon baked apple, and a touch of soft wheat.

PALATE

Exceptionally soft and velvety. Prominent flavors of brown sugar, buttery pastry, sweet cherry, and a hint of milk chocolate coat the palate.
