An exceptional, bold, and highly distinct Spanish red wine crafted by Bodegas Martínez Alesanco to champion the rare, indigenous Maturana Tinta grape—a historically forgotten variety brought back from the brink of extinction. Sourced from the high-altitude Aladrero parcel on clay-iron soils in Rioja Alta, it undergoes dynamic maceration followed by meticulous aging for several hundred days in heavily toasted French, American, and European oak barrels. It displays an incredibly intense cherry-red to deep purple hue and yields a complex bouquet of blackcurrants, wild blackberries, and fresh violets, seamlessly layered with sweet woodsmoke, dark cocoa, and fresh menthol on a full-bodied, velvety palate.
