About the Bodegas Raul Perez Muti Albarino
An exceptional, deeply coastal, and age-worthy Spanish white wine crafted as a collaborative project between renowned winemaker Rodrigo Méndez and Alberto Orte. Named "Muti" (the German affectionate term for "Mom") as a touching tribute to family, this classic expression is sourced from ancient, low-yielding Albariño vines—ranging up to 150 years old—grown on the granitic soils of the cool Val do Salnés subzone. Partially skin-macerated and matured in large oak foudres and stainless steel, it reveals a clear, brilliant straw hue and erupts with a highly perfumed bouquet of orange zest, white flower blossoms, candied ginger, and wet flint. The palate is intensely vibrant and structured, framing ripe orchard fruit and fresh fig with a piercing, saline maritime acidity.
Food Pairing: This highly mineral and complex white wine is a sublime match for fresh oysters, grilled razor clams, seafood crudo, or crisp summer salads.
