Mouchao Tonel No. 3-4

A legendary, monumental icon of Portuguese viticulture, Mouchão Tonel No. 3-4 represents the absolute pinnacle of Alicante Bouschet. Produced only in exceptional vintages from the estate's oldest vines at the historic Vinha dos Carapetos, the grapes are hand-harvested, whole-bunch foot-trodden in traditional stone lagares, and basket-pressed. It displays a deep, opaque garnet hue, opening with a colossal, multi-layered bouquet of black olives, crushed mint, eucalyptus, and wild blackberries, beautifully interwoven with notes of Indian ink, dark cocoa, and warm baking spices.
