Mouchao Dom Rafael Red

A beautifully structured, highly characterful Portuguese red wine crafted by the legendary Herdade do Mouchão estate. Blending native Alentejo varieties including Aragonez, Trincadeira, and Castelão, this wine is fermented in traditional temperature-controlled lagares before undergoing maturation for 12 months in large Portuguese oak and chestnut vats, followed by further aging in bottle. It displays an intense, deep ruby color, opening with an inviting and complex bouquet of ripe wild berries, dark plums, and sweet eucalyptus, layered with elegant nuances of warm spices, forest floor, and a hint of dark chocolate. 

Food Pairing: Outstanding alongside traditional Alentejo pork with clams (Carne de Porco à Alentejana), roasted lamb shank, grilled ribeye steaks, or a selection of cured meats and mature cheeses.
