Mosstowie 1979 Artist #11 is an exceptionally rare Speyside single malt Scotch whisky selected by La Maison du Whisky for its prestigious Artist collection. Distilled in 1979 at Miltonduff using the distillery's former Lomond stills, this expression spent more than four decades maturing in a single bourbon barrel. Its remarkable complexity unfolds through layers of acacia honey, candied pear, beeswax and delicate florals, complemented by fragrant herbs, polished oak and gentle spice. Bottled at 50.3% ABV, it offers a beautifully mature yet vibrant whisky, celebrating a distinctive style of distillation that disappeared in 1981.

Food Pairing: Aged Comté, roasted chestnuts, almond pastries, pear tart, honey-glazed nuts, vanilla crème brûlée or dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Candied pear, acacia honey, beeswax, jasmine, aromatic herbs, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla custard and refined oak spice.

Nose: Acacia honey, candied pear, raisins, beeswax and jasmine, followed by gentle nutmeg, liquorice and praline.

Palate: Elegant and layered, with ripe orchard fruit, floral honey, almond milk, maple syrup and fresh herbal notes.

Finish: Long and velvety, with vanilla custard, crème brûlée, chamomile, aniseed, subtle oak and lingering cocoa.
