Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2022, this beast of Dufftown was finished in a Barbadian Rum Cask. Total worldwide outturn: 903 bottles.
Nose: Uncommon for a Mortlach, this expression displays scents of pineapple, papaya and overripe bananas leave a fruity yet fresh impression.
Palate: The mouthfeel is more characteristically rich and viscous. Fruits do not carry through - rather the malty/meatier characteristics come to the fore.
Finish: Old fashioned heavy with oak and everything you smell in an old real “Dunnage warehouse” next to the distillery.
