Millstone Special #35 6 Year Old Peated Rivesaltes Cask Dutch Single Malt Whisky

Millstone Special #35 6 Year Old Peated Rivesaltes Cask Dutch Single Malt Whisky is a limited release from Zuidam Distillers, distilled in 2019 and matured for six years in Rivesaltes wine casks. Bottled in 2025 at 46% ABV, this peated single malt combines elegant smoke with the rich fruit character of Rivesaltes maturation, creating a distinctive balance of raisins, plums, nuts, warming spice and sweet malt. The release was limited to approximately 1,500 bottles. 

Food Pairing: Pair with smoked meats, aged Gouda, roasted nuts, grilled lamb, dark chocolate or dried-fruit desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and smoky with dark fruit, raisins and ripe plums complemented by nuts, honeyed sweetness, warming spice and structured oak.

Nose: Peat smoke mingles with honey, dark raisins and ripe fruit, followed by subtle nutty and wine-driven sweetness.

Palate: Full-bodied and balanced, combining smoky malt with ripe plums, dried figs, raisins, nuts and warming spice.

Finish: Long and gently dry, with lingering peat smoke, dark chocolate, dried fruit and subtle mineral sweetness.
