Millstone Special #28 5 Year Old Peated Tawny Port Dutch Single Malt Whisky is a distinctive expression from Zuidam Distillers, distilled in 2018 from heavily peated malt and matured for five years in Tawny Port wine casks. Bottled in 2023 at 46% ABV, it combines fresh, elegant peat smoke with the rich fruit character contributed by its port-cask maturation, creating a complex balance of citrus, red fruit, orange marmalade, spice and gentle smoke. 

Food Pairing: Pair with smoked meats, grilled lamb, aged Gouda, blue cheese, roasted nuts, dark chocolate or red-fruit desserts.

Tasting Notes: Fresh and fruity with balanced peat smoke, vibrant red fruit, citrus, orange marmalade and warming spice.

Nose: Balanced smoke leads the aroma, accompanied by fresh red fruit and bright notes of lemon and lime, with the peat becoming more pronounced as the whisky opens.
