Millstone 1996 Single Malt #8

Millstone 1996 Single Malt #8 is a Dutch single malt whisky from Zuidam Distillers, distilled in the Netherlands and presented at a robust 49.4% ABV. Part of Millstone’s early generation of single malt whisky, this 1996 expression offers a concentrated, mature style with rich fruit, malt sweetness, warming spice and developed oak character.

Food Pairing: Pair with aged Gouda, roasted nuts, charcuterie, slow-roasted beef, dark chocolate or dried-fruit desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied, combining mature malt character with dried and dark fruit, caramelized sweetness, warming spice and structured oak.

Nose: Layers of dried fruit, caramel and malt open into darker fruit tones, gentle vanilla, toasted nuts and seasoned oak.

Palate: Full and warming, with malt sweetness, dried fruit and caramel balanced by baking spices, toasted nuts and increasingly pronounced oak.

Finish: Long and warming, leaving lingering dried fruit, malt, oak and peppery spice.
