Milagro Reposado Tequila

Crafted in Tepatitlán de Morelos, in the high-elevation Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico, Milagro Reposado is an estate-grown 100% Blue Weber Agave Tequila founded in 1998 by Pedro Camarena and Danny Schneeweiss. Built on the vision of merging traditional tequila production with modern distilling innovation, the 100% Blue Weber agave (Agave tequilana) is harvested at peak ripeness after maturing for 6 to 8 years in mineral-rich red clay soils. The agave piñas are slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens (mampostería) to extract maximum natural sugars, shredded using roller mills, and open-fermented in stainless steel tanks. Uniquely, the wash undergoes a double-distillation process utilizing both a traditional copper pot still to retain rich agave oils and a stainless steel column still to impart crisp, clean purity. The spirit is then rested for 2 to 4 months in American oak bourbon barrels, achieving a harmonious balance between vibrant, sweet cooked agave and subtle, warm oak characteristics.

Food Pairing: Grilled chicken fajitas, roasted pork carnitas, fish tacos with chipotle cream, queso fresco, roasted squash, or dark chocolate with sea salt.

Tasting Notes: Bright golden straw in appearance with brilliant clarity, a smooth medium body, and delicate, slow-moving tears.

Nose: Fresh, bright, and inviting, opening with sweet cooked agave, lemon zest, and fresh green herbs, supported by subtle vanilla, toasted oak, light cinnamon, and white pepper.

Palate: Smooth, round, and balanced on the palate, featuring caramelized agave nectar, butterscotch, and citrus peel upfront before unfolding into soft oak spice, cracked white pepper, light caramel, and subtle herbal teas.

Finish: Medium-long, warm, and clean with lingering notes of sweet agave, subtle oak vanilla, zesty lime pith, and a mild peppery lift.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a Glencairn glass or traditional Riedel Tequila glass, on the rocks, or as a rich, versatile base for craft cocktails like a Reposado Paloma, Tequila Old Fashioned, or Spicy Margarita.
