Crafted in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico—widely regarded as the world capital of mezcal—Veneno Mágico Espadín is an artisanal agave spirit produced by local master mezcaleros adhering to time-honored Oaxacan traditions. Made from 100% estate-grown Espadín agave (Agave angustifolia) that matures for 7 to 9 years, the agave hearts are harvested at peak ripeness to ensure optimal sugar concentration. The mature piñas are slow-cooked in traditional underground conical stone pit ovens fueled by oak and mesquite wood, crushed using a horse-drawn stone tahona wheel, and open-fermented in wooden pine vats utilizing natural wild airborne yeasts. Double-distilled in traditional copper pot stills, this unaged expression delivers a bright, agave-forward profile that harmoniously balances sweet tropical notes, zesty citrus peel, crisp green herbs, and gentle mesquite smoke.

Food Pairing: Grilled pork carnitas, fresh ceviche with citrus and mango, fish tacos with chipotle crema, mole verde, goat cheese crostini, or dark chocolate with sea salt.
