About the Maxico Mistico Licor Del Sobador
Maxico Mistico Licor Del Sobador is a unique Mexican amaro-style liqueur crafted in Zapopan, Jalisco, inspired by traditional Mexican folk medicine and herbal remedies. Made by separately boiling silver wormwood (estafiate), chamomile, propolis, and mullein, then blending them with handmade caramel and resting the mixture in cane spirit, it presents a bittersweet, medicinal, and herbal profile balanced by warm honey and burnt sugar notes.
Food Pairing: Rich dark chocolate desserts, alfajores, aged gouda, grilled sausages, dark berry tarts, and braised meats.
Tasting Notes : Deep golden brown with amber hues, offering a rich, smooth, and viscous mouthfeel with gentle herbal bitterness.
Nose : Earthy herbs, silver wormwood, soothing chamomile, sweet burnt caramel, and hints of floral honey.
Palate : Complex and bittersweet with soft herbs, minty herbal dryness, rich caramel sweetness, honey, and earthy botanical undertones.
Finish : Long, warm, and lingering with notes of medicinal herbs, subtle spice, and trailing burnt sugar sweetness.
Serve : Best enjoyed chilled neat as a digestif, on the rocks, or mixed with cola for a Mexican twist on a Fernet & Cola.
