Mate Brunello di Montalcino 2020

An elegant and deeply expressive Tuscan red, the 2020 Máté Brunello di Montalcino is crafted from organic Sangiovese grapes grown in the prestigious Santa Restituta sub-zone. This vintage presents a brilliant ruby red color and opens with a high-toned, complex bouquet of wild cherries, crushed raspberries, and red plums, seamlessly interwoven with notes of Mediterranean herbs, exotic spices, and a hint of forest floor. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and exceptionally balanced, showcasing a silky texture supported by refined, fine-grained tannins and a vibrant streak of acidity. Having aged for 30 months in a combination of small French oak barriques and larger barrels, it delivers a long, persistent finish with subtle nuances of tobacco, dark chocolate, and a characteristic saline minerality.
