Masi Costasera Amarone Classico 2017 is an iconic, rich, and deeply structured Italian red wine benchmarked by its traditional appassimento winemaking process. Sourced from hillside vineyards in the historic Valpolicella Classico zone facing sunset, the harvested grapes are dried on bamboo racks over the winter months to concentrate sugars, flavors, and aromas before slow fermentation. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby-purple hue with complex aromas of black cherry confit, ripe plum, dark chocolate, clove, anise, and subtle toasted cocoa. On the palate, it is full-bodied, warm, and velvety, balancing intense baked dark fruit and sweet spices with refined, integrated tannins and a long, savory finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted red meats, game, braised short ribs, ossobuco, rich pasta dishes, and mature cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano or Gorgonzola.

A really fresh and well-balanced Amarone here, with tapenade, ripe but fresh blackberries, chili chocolate and some red berries, too. This is tight and juicy, with a medium-to full-bodied palate and a long, fruity finish. A modern, fresh expression of Amarone that shows immense drinkability, but still pretty serious. Not super-concentrated, but shows restraint and balance.

One of the most recognized bottles from Italy's Veneto region, this is a hearty, hot-vintage red blend made with air-dried fruit. The Masi 2017 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Costasera shows baked fruit aromas of black cherry confit or blackcurrant preserves. There is some stickiness and sweetness to go along with those robust flavors, along with a powerful 15% alcohol content.
