Tense and crystalline, this remarkable medium-bodied dry riesling has a terrific smoky minerality and racy energy that make it leap over your palate. This pushes the fruit into the background, but as the wine aerates, fine pomelo, grapefruit and lime aromas emerge. Still very youthful, but the finish is extremely long and diamond bright. Quite salty, too. From vines planted in 1976 in a vineyard 470 meters above sea level. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
