About the Martin Texier La Rouviere
Martin Texier La Rouvière is an expressive, terroir-driven natural red wine produced by second-generation winemaker Martin Texier. Sourced from organically farmed Syrah vines in the 'La Rouvière' parcel in Saint-Julien-en-Saint-Alban, planted on steep granitic soils, this cuvée showcases low-intervention winemaking at its purest. Vinified using spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and partial whole-cluster maceration in concrete tanks, it is aged on fine lees and bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfur. In the glass, it reveals vivid aromas of dark berries, crushed black pepper, dried violets, and distinct granite minerality. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, fresh, and complex, featuring crunchy dark fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a long, savory finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted rack of lamb, pan-seared duck breast, grilled pork tenderloin, wild mushroom ragù, charcuterie, and aged goat cheese.
