About the Martell Cordon Bleu Cognac
Martell Cordon Bleu is a legendary "Extra Old" (XO) cognac, first created by Edouard Martell in 1912 and celebrated for its exceptional elegance and complexity. Unlike most cognacs that rely heavily on the Grande Champagne region, Cordon Bleu is defined by a high proportion of rare eaux-de-vie from the Borderies, the smallest and most exclusive growth area. It presents a deep golden copper color and a rich, sophisticated bouquet of crystallized plums, apples, and toasted almonds, interwoven with roasted notes of coffee and mocha. On the palate, it is exceptionally mellow and well-rounded, showcasing a luxurious texture with flavors of orchard fruits, sweet spices, and orange peel. The finish is remarkably long and persistent, marked by the distinctive floral and nutty nuances of the Borderies terroir.
