Marqués de Riscal Rioja Gran Reserva 2019

Marqués de Riscal Rioja Gran Reserva 2019 is a distinguished and powerful red wine that represents nearly two centuries of winemaking expertise in the Rioja Alavesa sub-region. Crafted primarily from Tempranillo grapes sourced from estate vineyards with vines over 80 years old, this vintage is celebrated for its remarkable concentration and structural depth. The wine underwent an extensive maturation process, aging for approximately two and a half to three years in French oak barrels followed by another three years of refinement in the bottle. On the nose, it offers an intense and complex bouquet of black cherry, licorice, and balsamic, beautifully balanced by spicy notes of cinnamon and black pepper. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, showcasing a harmonious blend of dark fruit, refined tannins, and a fresh acidity that leads to a long, persistent, and elegant finish.
