About the Maria Alice
An unconventional, low-intervention artisanal rosé crafted by Maria Pato under the playful "Duckman" project. Sourced from an 80-year-old vineyard where old-vine Baga coexists with walnut and fig trees, this natural wine is pressed on a vertical press and fermented inside a cement egg with zero added sulfur. It pours a bright, fluid pink hue, revealing a lively bouquet of fresh strawberries, rhubarb, red apple, and subtle savory undertones. The palate dances with structural tension, balancing crunchy red fruit flavors against a vibrant line of Atlantic-influenced acidity and a distinct, chalky mineral backbone. Unfined and unfiltered.
Food Pairing: Outstanding as a versatile aperitif, or paired alongside fresh fish tacos, grilled poultry, cured meats, or salted potato chips.
