Macaloney Distillers Siol Dugall

Macaloney’s Siol Dugall is a medium-peated Canadian single malt whisky produced on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Made from Canadian malted barley using traditional Scottish-style production methods, it is peated to approximately 27 PPM and matured across Kentucky Bourbon casks, virgin American oak and re-charred Portuguese red-wine casks. The currently listed expression is bottled at 46% ABV.

Food Pairing: Smoked salmon, barbecue pork, grilled steak, aged cheddar, roasted nuts and dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: A smoky yet balanced single malt combining sweet peat, citrus, vanilla, fruit, oak spice and coastal character.

Nose: Sweet peat smoke, lemon zest, vanilla, toasted oak and hints of brine.

Palate: Creamy malt, orchard fruit, vanilla and oak spice accompanied by earthy peat smoke and subtle coastal notes.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering smoke, vanilla, spice and gentle oak.

Serve: Enjoy neat or with a few drops of water to open the aromas and flavours.
