Lyrarakis Plakoura Vineyard Mandilari

Crafted by Lyrarakis Winery, this exceptional single-vineyard red showcases Mandilari—Crete's most structured indigenous grape variety. Grown in the high-altitude Plakoura vineyard at 500 meters in central Crete, low-yielding, head-trained vines produce a wine of immense depth and concentration. Aged for 12 to 18 months in French and American oak barrels, it yields complex aromas of dark blackberry jam, black cherry, dried Mediterranean herbs, sweet tobacco, vanilla, and cocoa. The palate is rich and full-bodied, balanced by chewy tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, savory, oak-framed finish.
