Luigi Bosca Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

The Luigi Bosca Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is a bold, expressive, and fruit-forward New World red wine that showcases excellent varietal typicity from high-altitude vineyards. It pours a deep ruby red colour with vibrant purple reflections, lifting with an immediate, refreshing bouquet of cassis, black currants, and wild blackberries, seamlessly layered with complex undertones of black pepper, smoky tobacco, mint, and a touch of sweet eucalyptus. On the palate, this full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is remarkably smooth, juicy, and round, coating the mouth with pure, velvety intensities of dark stone fruits, berry-driven spices, and a concentrated structure that defines the hot 2020 vintage. Aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels to maximize its aging potential and texturally rich sophistication, it is driven by a balanced, food-friendly acidity and firm, silky noble tannins that carry into a long, persistent, and clean finish accented by a lingering touch of woodsmoke and spice.

Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with casual or premium red meat fare, including grilled thick-cut steaks, slow-roasted lamb shanks with rosemary, venison or wild boar stews, roasted duck breast, wood-fired mushroom pizzas, and a selection of hard, aged cheeses.

Grilled green spices and black olives with some blackberries. This medium-to full-bodied cabernet sauvignon shows a solid and chewy tannin structure that will need a year to settle. Drink in 2024.
