Lui Úmile Malbec 2022 is a fresh, vibrant, and expressive high-altitude Argentine red crafted by winemaker Mauricio Vegetti. Sourced from choice estate vineyards situated at 1,120 meters above sea level in Vista Flores, within Mendoza's prestigious Uco Valley, the vines thrive in alluvial soils rich in sand and rounded river stones. The nose is incredibly inviting, bursting with bright aromas of fresh red plums, ripe cherries, and raspberries, intricately layered with notes of hibiscus, dark spices, and a quintessential Uco Valley backdrop of desert herbs and wet stones. On the palate, this medium- to full-bodied Malbec showcases a beautifully crunchy fruit character, seamlessly balanced by fine, sturdy tannins and a vivid vein of natural acidity. Maturing 60% of the blend for 10 to 12 months in neutral French oak barrels imparts a sophisticated, silky texture and a touch of vanilla while keeping the focus squarely on its pure, juicy fruit, which carries through to a long, flavorful finish.
