About the Lucky Seven The New Yorker-Amburana Cask Finished Bourbon
Lucky Seven The New Yorker is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in toasted virgin Amburana casks. Created by Lucky Seven Spirits and Master Blender Ashley Barnes, the Amburana finish gives the bourbon an especially rich baking-spice character, with cinnamon, brown sugar, oatmeal-raisin cookie and mature oak notes.
Food Pairing: Barbecue pork, smoked brisket, cinnamon desserts, oatmeal-raisin cookies, pecan pie and dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied with brown sugar, cinnamon, baking spices, caramel, toasted oak and sweet pastry notes.
Nose: Gingerbread, cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla, charred oak and black pepper.
Palate: Graham cracker, caramel, brown sugar, oatmeal-raisin cookie, cinnamon and warming baking spices.
Finish: Long, rich and warming with lingering cinnamon, caramel, gingerbread and oak.
Serve: Best enjoyed neat, with a small amount of water or over a large ice cube.
