Tenuta Luce Lux Vitis 2019 is an extraordinary, highly concentrated Tuscan red wine produced predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 2004 on the sandy-clay soils of Montalcino, enriched by a small percentage of Sangiovese. Aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels, it reveals an intense, opaque ruby-purple hue alongside complex, expressive aromas of blackcurrant, crushed blueberry, graphite, dark cocoa, and dried herbs, accented by toasted oak and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it exhibits full-bodied richness and power, delivering layers of ripe dark berry fruit, firm yet fine-grained tannins, and vibrant acidity that leads into a remarkably long, structured finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs magnificently with florentine T-bone steak, braised beef short ribs, roasted wild boar, venison tenderloin, or aged Pecorino Toscano cheese.

The Tenuta Luce 2019 Lux Vitis opens to an inky dark appearance with pressed blackberry, sweet cinnamon and cumin. There is some oak astringency on the tannins that will relax in time. Otherwise, this is a richly textured and concentrated red wine to drink on a cold winter evening by an open fire. The wine is almost full-bodied, but it actually feels more streamlined on the close.
