About the Tenuta Luce Brunello di Montalcino 2014 750ml
Ruby red colour with purple highlights, this Brunello welcomes us with notes of kirsch and spices and initial complex and balsamic nuances. In the mouth, the wine shows its power and substance free, however, from any excesses. Soft and well-rounded it also surprises with a crispness supported by minty highlights.
93 Points - James Suckling Plenty of forest berry and leaf aromas with cedar wood and some menthol, ahead of a smooth and succulent palate that has an easygoing, flavorful core of ripe berries. Lots to like here. Drink or hold.
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast Underbrush, plum new leather and exotic spice aromas slowly appear in the glass. On the tight full-bodied palate, assertive, close-grained tannins frame dried black cherry, licorice and espresso before a firm drying finish. Give it a few more years to let the tannins unwind, then drink to capture the fruit richness.
