The Lingua Franca AVNI Chardonnay 2022 is a sophisticated and vibrant white wine that showcases the distinct volcanic terroir of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Crafted by Master Sommelier Larry Stone and winemaker Thomas Savre, this wine is a blend of fruit from the Eola-Amity Hills and other premier sites, emphasizing shallow volcanic soils that lend a signature mineral tension. The 2022 vintage offers a complex bouquet of lemon peel, green apple, and white flowers, accented by nuances of river stone and a delicate touch of spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, featuring a rounded texture from labor-intensive barrel fermentation and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. With its chiseled acidity and clean, persistent finish, this Chardonnay embodies a Burgundian-inspired elegance with a true Oregon soul.
